Hey, I was wondering if Stacy Andrews was blocking for Eli back in college?Dear Anthony:

I believe he did. Both were seniors at Ole Miss in 2003. Andrews played in only five games, but since Manning was the Rebels' quarterback, I assume Andrews was blocking for him.

Could the Giants resign Madison Hedgecock if Bear Pascoe wins the starting tight end job?Dear Anthony:

In theory they could, but I think that ship has sailed. The Giants will likely use Pascoe as a hybrid tight/end fullback. Rookie free agent Henry Hynoski has played well early in camp. Frankly, I don't see a return for Hedgecock.

Has there been any update on Steve smith resigning with the Giants this year.Dear Nicholas:

The Mailbag received a lot of Steve Smith questions today. There is nothing new to report. He remains a free agent. But Tom Coughlin hinted again today that Smith, who had knee surgery last December, is not in condition to play. "He's not going to step in right away," Coughlin said.
