CB DOMINIQUE RODGERS-CROMARTIE

There is still one practice left in organized team activities (OTAs), but it's going to be tough for the defense to beat the play that cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie made Thursday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Wearing No. 41 after giving up jersey number 21 to rookie safety London Collins, Rodgers-Cromartie showed his speed and leaping ability, snatching an Eli Manning pass that was just about in the hands of wide receiver Rueben Randle in the end zone. Preventing the touchdown, Rodgers-Cromartie ran the ball back up the far sideline with his defensive teammates and coaches waving him along. Rodgers-Cromartie has 21 career interceptions in seven NFL seasons.
"You've got to understand the Giant way of doing things," said Rodgers-Cromartie, who is entering his second year with Big Blue after signing with the team as a free agent in 2014. "So it definitely feels better going into this season."
WR RUEBEN RANDLE
While Odell Beckham Jr. has been limited because of a sore hamstring, Manning has worked on another Louisiana connection with wide receiver Rueben Randle.
The LSU product, who is entering his fourth season with the Giants, made a handful of catches on Thursday, including a touchdown from Manning early in team drills.
"The number one goal is to be the best receiving corps in the NFL," Randle said recently in the latest "Inside the Huddle" feature on Giants.com. "After that, I think everything else pretty much takes care of itself. Just come out here, work hard each and every day, give our best effort for the coaches and for the team and go out and make as many plays as possible. I'm just trying to be an overall great receiver. I don't just want to be in one spot. I want to be a real smart, overall player where they can put me and feel comfortable in every spot there is."
WR PRESTON PARKER
Finishing third among Giants wide receivers last season in targets, receptions and receiving yards, Preston Parker is looking to build on those numbers in 2015. He has carved out a role for himself, and on Thursday he caught the first of back-to-back touchdowns from Manning during 11-on-11 team drills. The second was the one to Randle.
"Preston is that dog that we need in the receiving room," Randle said. "He just goes out there and whatever coach needs him to do, he's going to do it, and he's not going to hesitate. He's not going to question it. He's just going to go out there and get the job done."
