As the NFL world soaks up the last few days of summer vacation, that got us thinking on Giants.com about which would be the best away game for fans to make this year.

Dan Salomone: Buffalo. For the ambiance and décor.

Lance Medow: I always eliminate the three division rivals because those games occur on an annual basis, so I'm only considering opponents the Giants don't play consistently. The three most appealing destinations are San Francisco, Miami and Las Vegas, but the 49ers game falls on a Thursday night, limiting the flexibility to fully capitalize on the trip. That leaves the latter two, and it's hard to top Sin City when it comes to activities outside of a football game. If you're lacking entertainment when going to Vegas, then something's very wrong.

You can't go wrong with South Beach, and by the time early October rolls around, the weather shouldn't be as overwhelming as what September provides. If you make that a weekend trip, from Friday to Monday morning, you'll be able to take full advantage of the environment and the best part is what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas (well, at least in theory).

Matt Citak: The Giants have away games in some great cities this season. No one could argue with a trip to Las Vegas and the incredibly cool-looking Allegiant Stadium in Week 9. Three weeks prior to that, coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen will make their return to Orchard Park to take on the Bills on Sunday Night Football, which will surely feature an electric crowd. However, if I'm choosing only one away game to make the trip to this year, it has to be the Week 15 matchup against the Saints in New Orleans.

As someone who went to college in the south and made plenty of trips down to Nola, let me tell you, there is no city like it. The atmosphere on Bourbon Street is truly one of a kind, even outside of Mardi Gras week. The nightlife is vibrant, as you are guaranteed to have a good time in downtown New Orleans. Whether you want to hit up one of the famous bars or listen to some music in a local jazz club, Nola has it all. The city is known for its Creole cuisine, which is simply delicious. Jambalaya and gumbo? Yes please. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to leave the cold, northeast winter in the middle of December for some warm southern weather?

On top of New Orleans' many attributes as a city, the on-field matchup is enticing as well. With Derek Carr taking over as the starting quarterback and Michael Thomas' return to action, in addition to Chris Olave entering his second year in the NFL, the Saints' offense should be a lot better in 2023. When you combine that with last year's top 10 defense, it's easy to see the Saints having a significant turnaround this season.
