MICHAEL EISEN: Mathias Kiwanuka. Like JPP, he is a former first-round draft choice. Kiwi has 36.0 career sacks, despite starting 29 games at strongside linebacker, a position where sacks aren't easily collected. He has more experience than Damontre Moore and Roberts Ayers. And Kiwanuka was the first-team left end throughout the spring practices.

JOHN SCHMEELK: Mathias Kiwanuka will be the starter, but I wouldn't obsess over who is in the game when the first snap occurs. Robert Ayers and Damontre Moore will both get plenty of snaps and there will be a heavy rotation at that spot.

DAN SALOMONE: Mathias Kiwanuka. The defensive line is one of the position groups that starts are a little deceiving since defensive packages are dictated by the offense's personnel on the field. But with that said, Kiwanuka has been a steady force on a unit that has been overhauled quite a bit. Meanwhile, Robert Ayers will be pushing him for snaps while Damontre Moore has to first show what he can do in live action.
