Oshane-Ximines-Signing-Contract

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – On the day their rookies reported to training camp, the Giants today announced the signing of third-round draft choice Oshane Ximines.

An outside linebacker from Old Dominion, Ximines was selected 95th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

In four seasons with the Monarchs, Ximines totaled school-record totals of 33.0 sacks, 51.5 tackles for loss, 33 quarterback hurries and 11 forced fumbles. He led ODU in sacks in each of his four seasons while starting 48 of the 49 games in which he played. Ximines finished his career with 176 tackles (93 solo). He also had three fumble recoveries, one interception and 12 pass breakups.

Ximines is the first player from Old Dominion ever selected in the NFL Draft and the first player in NFL history whose last name begins with X.

Quarterback Daniel Jones, whom the Giants chose sixth overall, is the team's lone unsigned draft choice.

The rookies will practice for the first time tomorrow, and the remainder of the team will report on Wednesday.
