Giants.com brings you Training Camp notes and observations straight from the sidelines:

The New York Giants held their final open practice of training camp on Monday, so a certain three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver decided to leave the fans with the best highlight of this summer and really any summer. That, and plenty more, happened today at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

Here is a recap of the day:

•   "The Catch" has competition. Instead of trying to capture what he did in words, I'll just refer you to the video. It speaks for itself. I will say this, though: keep in mind that Eli Manning is throwing him a regulation-size football and not a tennis ball. The video obviously spread like wildfire on social media, but the reaction by players and coaches on the sideline was just as contagious as the play buzzed around all three practice fields. Pro Bowl cornerback Janoris Jenkins had nothing to be ashamed of on that particular play. What else could he have done?

"Honestly, today before any of it happened, I told them what I was going to do and it just happened," said Beckham, who made another one-handed catch yesterday that was negated by a called sack in practice. "I feel like yesterday – I told the receivers in the room, I said, 'I don't know what happened, I just kind of clicked out.' Like I said, I'm in a different place right now and he threw the ball and I was like, 'I've seen this before.' It felt like it was like a dream. Just being able to have that confidence and come down with those plays. I try and bring a lot of energy to this team, especially to my wide receiver room."

"I like two hands on the ball better than one," coach Ben McAdoo said when asked about it after practice. "I like completions better than incompletions."

•   The one-handed grab wasn't the only highlight of the day, and it certainly wasn't the only one from Beckham on the day. He also made a nice sideline catch.

•   Rookie tight end Evan Engram got in on the action with a goal-line touchdown from Manning. Engram made a nice play in the corner of the end zone while being defended by All-Pro safety Landon Collins, who gave him a high-five after getting over his initial frustration of allowing a touchdown. Manning also hooked up with wide receiver Brandon Marshall for a touchdown deep in the green zone.

•   The Giants did some mixing and matching today, particularly on the defensive side, as they have a full week until their next preseason game in Cleveland. "We're in camp," McAdoo said. "We're trying to match up players on the first and second team both ways as well as mix and match the second and third team both ways just to give them a look versus better competition."

•   Wide receivers Roger Lewis and Keeon Johnson were active today in practice. Lewis showed his good hands a few times, while Johnson caught a touchdown from Geno Smith during seven-on-seven work.

•   Despite the highlight catches, there were plenty of incompletions today, both forced and unforced. Cornerback Michael Hunter played a role in a handful of them and flashed throughout practice.

•   Defensive tackle Corbin Bryant, the former Buffalo Bill who signed with the team in early June, left practice with an elbow injury. Linebacker Devon Kennard was limited.

•   Before a day off, the Giants will practice on Tuesday. When they come back from the break, they will jump into a mock game week to prepare for their trip to play the Browns on Monday.
