EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – As many teams do throughout training camp, the Giants today continued to reshuffle their roster to give them as many healthy players as possible.

The newest additions to the team are wide receiver Andrew Turzilli and linebacker Chris Casher. They take the place of wide receiver Kevin Norwood, who was waived with a hip injury, and tight end tight end Colin Thompson, who was waived with a non-football injury (appendectomy).

Turzilli, 6-4 and 197 pounds, played in three games and had two receptions for 25 yards for the Tennessee Titans in 2015. He signed with the Titans that year as a rookie from Rutgers. Turzilli spent a month with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad in 2015, and was signed by the Detroit Lions to their practice squad on Dec. 20 and to their roster on Jan. 9. He was waived on May 11.

Casher, a rookie who is 6-4 and 260 pounds, was with the Oakland Raiders from May 8 to Aug. 4.

He began his collegiate career at Florida State, where in 2013 he played 13 games for a Seminoles team that won the BCS national championship. He also played in 13 games in 2015 and in eight games the following season. Casher played his senior season at Faulkner University in Alabama, where in 10 games he had 60 tackles and 8.5 sacks.
