The chatter will grow only louder in that time leading up to the first selection on April 27 in Philadelphia. The New York Giants hold the 23rd pick this year, right behind the Miami Dolphins and ahead of the Oakland Raiders.
The NFL calendar culminates this Sunday with Super Bowl LI, but after that, the whole process starts over again. So now's a good time to check the latest mock drafts for the Giants. Here is a look at what the draft experts are saying:
Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
Pick: David Njoku, TE, Miami
Analysis: "A freaky athlete, Njoku is a former high school high jump champion who should light it up at the NFL Scouting Combine. I'll leave him here for now, but I suspect he'll keep bouncing higher as the process plays out."

Pick:Christian McCaffrey, RB, StanfordAnalysis:
"McCaffrey isn't a bruiser but his instincts, shiftiness and soft hands out of the backfield could make him an intriguing weapon for Big Blue."

"Charlton, who has some traits reminiscent of Justin Tuck out of Notre Dame, has all the ingredients of a NFL starter."

Analysis: "Njoku is raw, but he has the potential to be just that at the next level. The Giants' WR corps frees up a lot of space in the middle of the field. Njoku has the downfield athleticism to take advantage."
