The accolades keep coming for the job the Giants' defense did this season.

The Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) voted safety Landon Collins and defensive tackle Damon Harrison to its 2016 All-NFL Team. They were among the 13 players selected for the first time – 11 were repeat – while the Giants were one of seven teams with multiple selections. The Cowboys and Chiefs each placed a league-high four players.
Earlier this month, Collins and Harrison were both named to the Associated Press 2016 NFL All-Pro Team after standout campaigns on the No. 2 scoring defense in the league.Â
Collins, whom the Giants traded up to select with the first pick in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, led the Giants for the second time in as many seasons with 125 tackles, a franchise record for a safety. In 2016, Collins was twice named NFC Defensive Player of the Week as well as the conference's Defensive Player of the Month for November. He also became the only player in NFL history to have at least 100 solo tackles, 2.0 sacks, five interceptions, and 12 passes defensed in a season.
Up front, Harrison led all defense linemen with 86 tackles after the former Jet signed with the Giants over the offseason. Big Blue went on to rank second in yards allowed per carry (3.6) and tied for third in rushing yards allowed per game (88.6).
The PFWA also announced the All-AFC and All-NFC Teams, and the Giants led all NFC clubs with five conference selections: Collins, Harrison, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., cornerback Janoris Jenkins, and special teamer Dwayne Harris. The Cowboys and Falcons, who earned the top two seeds in the NFC playoffs, had four apiece.
