The only cure for the winless Giants right now is Vitamin W. They'll look for some on Sunday night in Denver, where they take on the 3-1 Broncos, fresh off their bye week. The Giants dropped to 0-5 last week with a loss to the Chargers and are still looking for their first win since New Year's Day.

"Hey, the only way to fix the mood is to get a win," quarterback Eli Manning said this week. "Nothing else is going to change it. Nothing else is going to make you feel any better except going out there and getting a 'W'. We have to have great preparation. We have to have great energy and enthusiasm. Excited about this opportunity."

Here are three things the Giants need to do for a victory:

1. WIN TURNOVER BATTLE

The Broncos have won 31 consecutive games in which they won the turnover battle, the longest active streak in the NFL that dates back to 2012. Denver is 13-0 in games at plus-one, 13-0 at plus-two, and 5-0 at plus-three or better. This year, the Giants have lost the turnover differential in three games (at Dallas, at Philadelphia, vs. Los Angeles Chargers) and were even in two (vs. Detroit, at Tampa Bay).

2. PASS PROTECTION

Since drafting Von Miller second overall in 2011, the Broncos lead the NFL with 279 sacks. It's no surprise that he leads the league individually in that span with 77.5, while Houston's three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt is second with 76.0. This could be the Giants' toughest test of the year in pass protection, especially with Denver coming off a week of rest.

After not being sacked in Weeks 3 and 4, Eli Manning was taken down five times in his last outing and fumbled twice, losing one. He is getting rid of the ball, on average, in 2.41 seconds, the second-fastest time in the NFL this season, according to Pro Football Focus.

3. ALL COMES DOWN TO 3RD DOWN

On both sides of the ball, the Broncos are one of the best third-down teams in the NFL, converting 46.7 percent of the time on offense (sixth in the league) while holding opponents to 25.9 percent (second). Their efficiency can be largely attributed to what they do on second down, particularly on the ground. Denver rushes for an average of 6.42 yards on second down while allowing just 2.23 yards, both tops in the league.
