The best of the Giants – and the NFL – was on display for the entire nation last night, when they rushed for 219 yards and averaged 4.9 yards a carry in their 36-31 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Lincoln Financial Field. It was the second game in a row and the fourth time in nine games that they ran for at least 200 yards. That is three more 200-yard rushing games than they posted in the entire 2007 season.
The Giants lead the NFL in rushing yards with an average of 168.9 yards a game (11 more than the runner-up Atlanta Falcons). They also top the league with a 5.2-yards-per-carry average.
