Instructions on Downloading Giants 2008 Schedule into Outlook

STEP ONE:
Download the Giants Schedule Now (Right-click, choose SAVE TARGET AS...)
Make sure you save the file as 08_giants_schedule.csv
When the file has saved click Close.

STEP TWO:  
WHILE IN MS OUTLOOK...

  • Select File --> Import and Export...
  • Select Import from another program or fileand click Next.
  • Select Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click Next.
  • Find the 08_giants_schedule.csv file you just downloaded and select Do not import duplicate items and click Next.
  • Select the Calendar folder and click Next.
  • The next window will have a title that says "The following actions will be performed:" above an option to Import 'giants_schedule.csv' into the 'Calendar' folder"
  • Check the box to the left and and click on "Import "giants_schedule.csv" into folder: "Calendar"
  • In some versions of Outlook you will be required to chose what fields you want to import. For those users, simply click and drag needed fields from the left window into the right window. It is fairly self-explanatory, but the basic corresponding fields are below:

    LEFT COLUMN TO RIGHT COLUMN
    START_DATE to Start Date
    START_TIME to Start Time
    SUBJECT to Subject
    LOCATION to Location
    END_TIME to End Time
    DESCRIPTION to Description

  • If you would like Outlook to place a reminder on the event, also move REMINDER_ON_OFF to Reminder On/Off
  • Lastly, click Finish and view your calendar in Outlook to confirm the Giants 2008 Schedule has been integrated into Outlook.
