About the New York Giants and HSS

"Hospital for Special Surgery is the premiere orthopedic hospital in the United States. Dr. Russell F. Warren, Surgeon-in-Chief Emeritus, and Dr. Scott A. Rodeo, Associate Attending Surgeon at HSS, are our team physicians. They are prolific researchers, noted clinicians, and highly esteemed surgeons. The athletes at the New York Giants are very fortunate to have this great team in our backyard. Our nearly two decade involvement with the Hospital has been a very successful one. We have utilized the Sports Medicine Service at HSS and virtually every other Service at the Hospital, including Pediatric Orthopedics for children of the players and staff. We have also been involved in the training of orthopedic fellows during this time. What a great experience for a young sports medicine physician and what a rewarding experience for the team. Nearly all of these doctors are team physicians for professional sports teams and major universities. Team physicians for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, St Louis Rams, San Francisco 49’ers, NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, MLB’s San Diego Padres, NCAA’s University of Arizona, Duke University, St. Johns University, San Diego State University and Vanderbilt University have all trained at the Hospital for Special Surgery and most have done fellowships with the Giants.Hundreds of people call our office annually looking to receive the same care as the New York Giants. We immediately refer them to Hospital for Special Surgery. What a winning hospital to take care of our champions!"

Quote of the Week
"He performed well. He kicked the ball off to I think it was the three yard line, the three yard line, and then the one yard line. He made his field goals. He performed well. When called upon he did a good job and certainly his veteran experience was there for all of our players to rely on." - Coach Coughlin on K John Carney's performance against the Skins
